HeartLand Farm & Lawn was established in 2003. The company began with a buy out of the family owned Anson Implement in Higginsville. Anson Implement sales manager, Kevin Hemme along with partners Kent Dorsch and Curt Beerman purchased Anson Implement and began HeartLand Farm & Lawn. One year later, a new dealership was built in Centerview with a grand opening in August 2005. The next addition to HeartLand Farm & Lawn was the Carrollton location. On September 5, 2006 ,Carroll County Equipment merged with HeartLand Farm and Lawn. Owner of Carroll County Equipment, Tom Zapp, is now a  board member. On April 2, 2007, Heartland Farm and Lawn merged with Sedalia Implement Company in Sedalia. They have been the local John Deere dealership in Sedalia for almost 70 years. John Joy, the owner of Sedalia Implement Company, is now a board member.
